Tip/Fun-Fact: The “Kaiserbründl” is named after Empress Elisabeth of Austria, who was also known as Sisi. In 1882, she visited the source of the Wienfluss river in Pressbaum.

Route description From Dürrwien to Rekawinkel
We will start at the railway station in Dürrwien and head along Friedhofsstrasse to Hauptstrasse, before turning right and going down the first lane on the left. We will walk under the motorway bridge and past the secure game fencing, and continue along the blue hiking route. At a marked electricity mast intersecting the path, we will turn left and go into the forest. At the end of the road, we will turn right towards Pfalzberg, and then bear right onto Route 2 (red) towards Kaiserbründl, then onto the yellow route until we reach Ober-Kniewald Strasse. We will then turn right, onto the red route, and continue towards Jochgrabenberg. We will continue along Hiking Route No. 04 (red) towards Rekawinkel-Troppberg until we reach the intersection, before turning right and heading in the direction of Eichgraben/Rekawinkel. As we go downhill, we will reach the motorway underpass. From there, we will turn right, and then left into a meadow. From there, we will head north-east, until we reach the first few houses. Once there, we will rejoin the yellow-green/red route, and walk back to Rekawinkel, and down Hauptstrasse to the railway station.
