Description
Surrounded by vineyards and solvent terraces, the stage leads from the wine town of Rohrendorf back to lively historic Krems - spectacular views included. Even the starting point of the tour exudes regional charm. The Rohrendorfer Kellergasse, known throughout Austria, and the Lenz Moser winery already invite you to linger and enjoy here. The route continues through beautiful vineyards towards the destination, passing regional vineyards like Rohrendorfer Gebling or Sandgrube. Accompanied by a dreamlike view over the idyllic Danube valley, the town of Krems is soon reached. There, numerous wine taverns and winegrowers cater for physical well-being. For all those hungry for discovery, there are also excursion destinations such as the Krems Art Mile with the spectacular Lower Austria State Gallery.

Route description Kremstal-Danube Long Distance Trail 07: Rohrendorf - Krems (Abbreviation)
From the centre of Rohrendorf, we continue our hike through the well-known vineyards of Gebling, Thallern and Sandgrube. After the subway of the B37, we walk behind the cemetery, over the Singleithenstraße, further on the Wiener Straße and over the Untere Landstraße into the centre of Krems. Our destination is the Hohe Markt with its Hercules Fountain.

Coming from Vienna: S5 - Jettsdorf junction - direction Krems - Rohrendorf exit - turn right onto L7013 - after approx. 0.6 miles onto LH45 - turn right onto Bahnstraße - turn right onto B35 - turn left onto Lindobelgasse
Coming from Krems: approx. 2.4 miles along the B35 - turn left onto Lindobelgasse.

Car park in Viehtrift, opposite the delivery entrance of the Sepp Moser winery.
