With beautiful hiking routes and breathtaking water world, the Myrafälle (Myra Falls) are the perfect destination for hikers and families of all ages.
Description
The Myrafälle were made accessible by the ÖTK in 1885, and have since been maintained by Sektion Pernitz Muggendorf.
Since Autumn 2007, quite a lot of work has been done along the Myrafälle and around the Hausstein. 11 information boards guide you through this impressive landscape. Learn about how the power of water has been used as a driving force for woodworking machines or power generation since 1783. The residents of the valley also used the water wheels for grinding barley, wheat and oats. Stroll through your natural surroundings, enjoy the fabulous view from the Hausstein and then relax in one of our cosy inns, for example the Myrastub’n, the Karnerwirt, or the Gasthaus Jagasitz. A climbing paradise and a carefully designed water playground await our younger visitors. Includes adventure rafting in Myrateich.
(Entry: adults €5, children 6-14 years €1,50.)
