Route description Weinviertel DAC cycle tour

The Weinviertel DAC wine tour sets off from the Retz's historic town square. It passes the landmark Retz windmill bound for Pulkau via Waitzendorf, taking in vineyard-lined hills all the way. Next, it is off to Röschitz and Roseldorf and then Platt and Zellerndorf before cycling back to the wine city Retz via Pillersdorf. Tip: stopping for refreshment at the cellar lanes in Platt, Zellerndorf and Pillersdorf is a perfect way to watch the world go by and enjoy a well-deserved break.

Retz is located on the Czech border and is very easy to reach by car via federal roads.

Parking

Attention: There is a short-stay parking zone within the city centre. Please park outside the main square.

Coming from Vienna, Retz is very easy to reach by train. There is also a train connection to Retz from Znojmo.
