Description
This 15 m high lookout tower is shaped like a corkscrew and nestled in the Traisen Valley wine region. A 3.1 km circular hiking trail takes you through the scenic Eichberg and Ahrenberg cellar-lined road in about 1.5 hours.
Enjoy nature in all its tranquility, the fragrance of the forest floor and of course the sweeping view from the Corkscrew of the Danube wetlands and beyond into the Weinviertel and the Waldviertel. You see from the Tulln Basin into the Kamp Valley and over the Vienna Woods all the way to the Schneeberg.
Then the heurige wine taverns along the Ahrenberg and Eichberg cellar-lined road beckon to you with their excellent wine and delicious regional delicacies. Why not linger for a while and enjoy the merry atmosphere. Enjoy the hearty hospitality of the Traisen Valley winegrowers.
