Description
Not far from Gloggnitz, the Grasberg rises an impressive 1,078 meters. The "hikeable" excursion peak is flanked to the north by the Otter Mountains and to the west by Eselstein and Sonnwendstein. The Grasberg scores with numerous moderate hiking routes - and cozy refreshment stops in the surrounding villages.

Hiking tips for the Grasberg
- On the Austrian long-distance hiking trail No. 01, the route leads from Raach am Hochgebirge to the Schanzkapelle chapel south of the Grasberg. Before the route continues to Göstritz and the pilgrimage site of Maria Schutz, a detour to the summit of the Grasberg is possible - via unmarked paths.
- A particularly scenic circular hike of about 6 kilometers with starting and finishing point Raach am Hochgebirge includes cozy refreshment stops.
