Kellergasse Ollersdorf
Cellar-lined roads
Description
In the southeastern Weinviertel extends the enchanting Kellergasse at the end of the village of Ollersdorf - with over 300 cellar tubes the largest of its kind in the district of Gänserndorf. The long hollow way reveals the ancient lime and sand layers of the primeval sea that lay here twelve million years ago. Today, the old cellars surrounded by fertile vineyards tell a centuries-old story of the local wine tradition.
Tip: The Kellergasse with its cozy resting places and underground vaults is especially beautiful to discover on a guided tour.
