New worlds to experience
Description
The workers' settlement built in the 2nd half of the 18th century under Empress Maria Theresa in the immediate vicinity of the former metal goods factory has been preserved, with the exception of the inn located in the center. According to experts, it represents a unique architectural jewel for Europe and was therefore placed under monument protection in 1986. The moated castle, destroyed in the 15th century, was once built on the island enclosed by the so-called "Villa Pond".
