Our listed railway station from 1900 is located in Neu Nagelberg, about 7 km north of Gmünd and directly on the Czech border. In loving detail work and almost exclusively own contribution, it was restored in 2021/22 in such a way that its charm and originality comes into its own. We have preserved as much as possible and deliberately modernized only carefully. Old furniture matches the style of the station.

Let yourself be enchanted by the charm of the old train station! Embark on a journey through time, without telephone, internet and television. Experience the flair of bygone times and switch off from the stress and hustle and bustle of everyday life!

There are about 90 square meters of living space at your sole disposal. The covered veranda with seating invites you to eat outside or just enjoy the evening. A special extra is the large, adjoining meadow with fireplace with barbecue facilities, which belongs to the property. In the summer months, the WaldviertelBahn runs and stops in front of the station if necessary - a special experience not only for railway lovers!

In the area there are beautiful bike paths and opportunities for hiking.
The Gmünd lido can be reached on foot or by bike. Recommended are also the Nature Park Blockheide with its observation tower, the moated castle Heidenreichstein, the UnterWasserReich in Schrems and much more! There are also many things to discover in Gmünd - there is something for everyone!

Please note that due to age and monument protection, insulation of the building is only possible to a very limited extent. Therefore, it can get cool in the evening in the house during the transitional periods. There is no modern heating, but a wood-burning stove that can be heated.

Our train station can be booked as a holiday apartment from the beginning of May to the end of September!
