Bad Pirawarth train station

Train station

Description

The large reception building at Bad Pirawarth station in the market town of the same name in the Lower Austrian district of Gänserndorf is a little eye-catcher in itself. The cosy seating under the canopy tempts visitors only too gladly to linger here. However, this is not only because of the nostalgic flair, but also and especially because of the impressive diesel and steam locomotives that rush into the station. Some parking spaces are available on site.

Route information

The original line from Stammersdorf to Dobermannsdorf was discontinued in December 2010, but a section of about 9 kilometers was reactivated with the opening of the Nostalgiebahn and will be used in August 2021 for special trips of the "K. K. Museumsbahn Weinviertel" will be resumed in August 2021.

  • The trains of the special trips to Sulz-Nexing stop here.
  • A bus stop with connections to Kollnbrunn, Vienna, Gänserndorf and Mistelbach is located directly on site.

Just does you good!

The "tut gut" hiking trails around the market town start at the Bad Pirawarth Clinic. On family-friendly routes, nature lovers and view collectors get their money's worth, leading across picturesque vineyards, past picturesque fields and through numerous romantic cellar lanes.

Tip: Bicycles can be taken free of charge on the museum train.
