History
Between Kottingneusiedl and Laa an der Thaya ran until 1988 the line of the Pulkautalbahn - a Weinviertel branch line from Novosedly to Zellerndorf, which was part of the main railway network of the Kaiser Ferdinand Nordbahn. The line was built in 1873 and completed within a few months, but due to the low traffic volume it was partly closed already in 1930. For freight traffic, the line from Laa an der Thaya to Pernhofen-Wulzeshofen station is still used today.
