Description

On the valley line of the Mariazellerbahn is the station Loich of the same name community in the Lower Austrian Mostviertel. The on-demand stop is equipped with a stop request button, thus the next Himmelstreppe stops at this stop on request for their passengers. The attractively designed reception building at the platform offers a covered waiting area, and several parking spaces for cars and mopeds, as well as the five on-site parking spaces for bicycles, also ensure comfortable boarding.

Route information

  • Trains along the Mariazellerbahn to St. Pölten, as well as to Laubenbachmühle and on to Maria Zell, stop here when required.
  • Close to the station is a bus stop with connections to Grünau and Neubruck.

Museum of local history

After a half-hour walk starting from Loich station, you reach the open-air museum and museum of local history with a mill, where you can experience a small journey through time thanks to the lovingly arranged objects and the idyllic ambience. A visit to the open-air museum is possible at any time, the interesting exhibitions in the local history museum by appointment at the municipal office.

Tip: Plan a visit to the local Landhaus Ingrid in Loich. The family-run business will spoil you with cosy rooms, traditional delicacies and has one or two tips for an excursion in the Dirndltal.
