Mainburg train station

On the route of the Mariazellerbahn in the middle of the Lower Austrian Mostviertel is the demand station Mainburg. A covered waiting area and some parking spaces are provided at the station. Trains of the well-known narrow-gauge railway stop here on request, which can be ordered by means of a control element from the platform.

• Trains on the Mariazellerbahn line to St. Pölten and to the Laubenbachmühle station as far as Mariazell are served here.
• Not far from Mainburg station is a bus stop with connecting buses to Grünau and Neubruck.

The tour starts near Melk and runs for the most part next to the Mariazell railway tracks, making it easy and uncomplicated to combine a trip by train and bike.
