The reception building at the Maria Lanzendorf train station south of Vienna, built in a traditional style, is located near the center of the community of the same name. Maria Lanzendorf place of pilgrimage
The municipality of Maria Lanzendorf is known as a place of pilgrimage to the Virgin Mary. The popular parish church "Zur schmerzhaften Mutter Gottes" (To the Sorrowful Mother of God) is one of the most beautiful pilgrimage churches in Lower Austria. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the Maria Lanzendorf train station to the church on the impressive Calvary with its spiral staircases that trace the Passion of Christ.
