Mühling-Plaika station

The small waiting house at Mühling-Plaika station, nestled in a lot of greenery, offers guests of the Erlauftalbahn shelter from wind and weather. It is located in the middle of the village of the same name, Mühling, in the Lower Austrian Mostviertel.

Route information

The Mühling-Plaika stop is located along the route of the Erlauftalbahn, a branch line of the Austrian Westbahn.

• Regional trains along the line to St. Pölten and Pöchlarn are served here.
• Trains also stop here on their way to Scheibbs.
• A few minutes walk from the station is a bus stop with connections to Wieselburg.

Nature in the Erlauf Valley

A variety of trails can be taken from Mühling-Plaika station to explore the nature-loving areas of the Erlauftal region.

A very rewarding round tour is along the Türkensturzweg. Although the start is a little further south - in Purgstall - taking up the path of the family-friendly route in Mühling-Plaika does not change the lovely sights that the hiking route has in store on its way to the Hochriess and the Schlierwand.
