History
For many villages in the Kamptal the construction of the Kamptal railway line meant a significant economic upswing. Not only the easier transport of goods to Vienna promised a change for the better. Due to the more comfortable connection, many city dwellers learned to appreciate the charm of the nature spoiled region along the Kamp. Not only the change in travel habits, but also the construction of the Kamptal reservoirs and the resulting drop in temperatures were to blame for the fact that the successful tradition of the summer resort could unfortunately no longer be continued after 1945.
