A train station in the Lower Austrian Mostviertel could hardly be more idyllic. The small bus stop shelter at the Saffen stop in the village of the same name north of the district capital Scheibbs, offers not only cosy seating but also the right ambience for the fantastic scenery that the Eisenwurzen region has to offer.
Route information
The Saffen stop is located on the route of the Erlauftalbahn, which originally ran to Kienberg-Gaming, but since the end of 2010 now runs from Pöchlarn to Scheibbs.

Scheibbs Ceramics Museum
Within 10 minutes walking distance from the train station you can discover a real insider tip of museum art: the Scheibbs Ceramics Museum. Exhibits collected over decades, not only from the works of Scheibbs ceramics, are lovingly displayed and already include more than 2,500 exhibits. And if you would like to have a coffee with the operators, you can enjoy numerous entertaining stories.
