At the southeastern edge of the Tullnerfeld lies the station St. Andrä-Wördern in the middle of the market town of the same name. The two platforms can be reached via an underpass, and a ticket vending machine has been installed on both. Waiting rooms and publicly accessible sanitary facilities are also provided.
176 cars and mopeds can be parked in the Park & Ride area directly next to the station, and space has been created for 280 bicycles in the covered Bike & Ride station.
Tip: There is a nextbike rental station directly at the station. The bikes are available in Lower Austria from April to mid-November. More information can be found on the website https://www.nextbike.at/en/niederoesterreich/, or in the nextbike app.
Route connection
- The St. Andrä-Wördern train station is on the route of the Franz-Josefs-Bahn.
- Trains of the rapid transit line S40 to Tulln an der Donau as well as to the Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof to Vienna stop here.
- There are also trains to St. Pölten.
- Bus connections to Kritzendorf and Tulln an der Donau can be reached from the station forecourt.
Hagenbachklamm
From St. Andrä-Wördern station it is only a 30-minute walk to the wonderful Hagenbachklamm gorge. Wonderfully cool gorges and the soothing splashing of the water accompany hikers and walkers on the dreamlike paths through the gorge.
