Station Gloggnitz
Train stationDescription
The station Gloggnitz is located on the Southern Railway and is therefore one of the listed stops of the Semmering Railway . The through station was opened in 1854 and today is a popular starting point especially for hikers.
A section of the world-famous railway hiking trail leads from Semmering over the Eichberg to Gloggnitz station. The shortened 14-kilometre stage from Breitenstein to Gloggnitz is also particularly beautiful: it leads past the viaducts and buildings of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Klamm ruins to the railway station.
