Station Markt Piesting

The completely renovated reception building at Markt Piesting station in the market town of the same name in the Wiener Neustadt Land district of Lower Austria offers a cosy ambience as well as covered and sheltered waiting facilities.

Some car parking spaces for transfer passengers are available on site, and there is also a covered bicycle parking area.

Route information

The Markt Piesting stop is located along the route of the Piestingtalbahn.

• Regional trains to Gutenstein station and to the main station in Wiener Neustadt stop here.
• There are also connecting buses to Winzendorf and Dreistetten.

Hiking in the Piestingtal

Only a five-minute walk from the station is the starting point for hikes at the beginning of the enchanting Piestingtal valley. The signposted stage hikes along the Vienna Alpine Arc lead to Bad Fischau, Puchberg am Schneeberg or Waxeneckhaus, depending on the route chosen. Numerous culinary refreshment stops can be found along each of the routes.

Cycling in the Piestingtal

If you prefer to get on your bike after the train journey, you can easily follow the Piestingtal cycle path. Wildly romantic routes lead along the nature-rich route of the EuroVelo 9 to Gutenstein or on to Rohr im Gebirge. Hardly any gradients and firmly laid paths make this dream route one for all members of the family.
