Station Pitten

The double-tracked Pitten station is adorned by a large, rustic reception building on the outskirts of the market town of the same name in the Lower Austrian district of Neunkirchen. Timetable notices and loudspeaker announcements keep the guests of the railway constantly informed about the current traffic, waiting rooms are accessible in the station building itself.

40 parking spaces, which are available directly next to the station, make it much easier to transfer from the car to the train. A Bike & Ride facility has been set up for almost 50 bicycles.

Rock church Pitten

A quarter of an hour's walk from the Pitten bus stop is Pitten Castle with its magnificent mountain church dedicated to St. George. Those who set out to visit the mountain church of Pitten will not only be rewarded with the impressive building from the 18th century, but also with a fabulous view over the Hohe Wand, the Schneeberg, the Rax and Semmering.

Tip: Be sure to plan a visit to the surrounding rock church, a rare building that houses frescoes from the 13th century.
