In the Mostviertel region of Lower Austria, the Schwarzenbach an der Pielach station is located on the valley line of the Mariazell Railway. Modern control elements have been installed in the glazed waiting berths on the platforms to signal a stop request at the demand stop of the next stairway to heaven. Monitors are also located in the roofed glass cabins so that passengers are informed about train operations in the best possible way. 25 parking spaces for cars and mopeds, as well as more than 10 bicycle parking spaces have been installed on site.
Route information
- At the on-demand stop of the Mariazellerbahn trains to St. Pölten, as well as to Laubenbachmühle and further to Maria Zell are operated.
- Connecting buses to Grünau and Neubruck can be reached from the bus stop at the station.
Pielachtal Pilgrims' Way
Whoever sets out on the extensive paths of the Pielachtaler Pilgerwanderweg through the wonderful natural landscapes of the Lower Austrian Dirndl Valley, chooses a wide route with many places of strength with great views, which are a reward for the extensive march. A section of the route can be completed from Schwarzenbach an der Pielach station to the wooden church in around three hours.
