Station St. Georgen a. Steinfelde

The well-kept and modern station in St. Georgen am Steinfelde is located along the Traisentalbahn and serves regional trains to Hainfeld and Schrambach as well as to the main station in St. Pölten.

The unstaffed station offers protection from wind and weather with its covered waiting house, and there is a stroller belt in the open waiting area. Furthermore, the station is equipped with a Bike & Ride facility. The bus stop with bus connections to St. Pölten, Türnitz and Lilienfeld on the B20 is only a 5-minute walk away.

History

Before the railway connection was built, the community was mainly populated by farmers and craftsmen. With the opening of the line along the Traisentalbahn, more and more large companies settled in the area and thus created several new jobs.
