The reception building at the unoccupied Statzendorf station was extensively renovated in 2008, while the original construction of the main building was retained. In 2011, an underpass was built to pass underneath the two tracks.
26 vehicles can be parked at the Park & Ride facility, 74 bicycles can be parked at the Bike & Ride station. Timetable notices and loudspeaker announcements provide up-to-date information on ongoing rail operations.
Connections
Statzendorf station is located along the Krems railway line and offers the following connections:
- Regional trains to Krems an der Donau as well as to Horn and to St. Pölten main station.
- Bus connections to Krems on the Danube
History
After the section of the Tullnerfeld Railway from St. Pölten to Herzogenburg was completed, the extension of the Krems Railway followed in 1889, providing the connection from Herzogenburg onwards to Krems on the Danube.
