- The Stein-Mautern stop is located along the route of the Donauuferbahn, also known as the Wachaubahn. Tickets can be purchased directly on the trains.

- Connecting buses to Melk, Spitz and Krems an der Donau are available directly at Stein-Mautern station.

The Mautern Bridge connects the left and right banks of the Danube in the Wachau region. 330 meters long, the connection between Stein an der Donau and Mautern an der Donau is accessible for pedestrians as well as cyclists and road vehicles.
