Description

Stillfried station is located along the Nordbahn line in the district of Gänserndorf in eastern Lower Austria. On site there are two barrier-free accessible platforms with covered waiting facilities, an overpass of the two tracks is also available. The ticket vending machine offers the possibility to purchase train tickets around the clock, up-to-date timetable notices ensure well-informed passengers.

Nearly 40 parking spaces for cars and mopeds are provided in the connected Park & Ride facility, almost 70 additional parking spaces for bicycles enable a comfortable transfer to the train.

  • Regional trains to Bernhardsthal and Wr. Neustadt connect here.
  • Trains via Vienna Floridsdorf to Payerbach-Reichenau are served.
  • Bus connections directly from the station offer connections to Gänserndorf, Angern and Grub an der March.

Center of the primeval times

The Center of Prehistory in Stillfried is less than a 10-minute walk from the station. The museum, which was opened in 1955 and has since been repeatedly revitalized, makes use of an extensive collection of artefacts and is constantly working on modernizing and adapting the prehistoric exhibits on display.
