Route information
Trains stop here along the Mariazell Railway to St. Pölten, as well as to Laubenbachmühle and on to Mariazell.
Not far from the train station is a bus stop with connecting buses to the interior of the village and Hollenstein.
Railway in the station
After a rebuilding phase lasting almost two years, the model railway museum "Bahn im Bahnhof" was completed in 2019. The faithful replica of the Mariazell railway enchants visitors with elaborately staged superstructures and loving details of the stations, tunnels and bridges along the valley line from Laubenbachmühle to Erlaufklause.
Tip: The visit to the model railway museum can be booked as a combination ticket for a trip on the Himmelstreppe along the Mariazell Railway. This makes even the journey to Kirchberg an experience.
