• Along the listed route of the Donauuferbahn, or also known as the Wachaubahn, lies the station Spitz an der Donau in the market town of the same name.
• Here the trains stop on their way to Emmersdorf an der Donau, as well as to Krems an der Donau.
• There is also a bus stop with connecting buses to Mühldorf am Jauerling and to the centre of Spitz an der Donau.

The historic winegrowing village of Spitz on the local Tausendeimerberg is hard to get away from. Those who are magically drawn to the sweeping Danube are well advised to enjoy the views during a trip on one of the Danube boats, which moor directly in Spitz and invite you to discover the highlights of the region in probably the most beautiful way.

From there, a bike tour starts, which is especially exciting for families: the Cycling for Kids Tour Spitz Route 5. 22 kilometres of bathing places are visited and playgrounds are made unsafe - an experience for big and small leisure lovers.

Tip: Bicycles can be carried free of charge on the trains of the Donauuferbahn after prior reservation - but directly at the stop in Spitz an der Donau there are also some bikes available, which can be rented to start cycling directly.
