The openly designed St. Pölten Traisenpark station is located as a single-track, unstaffed station along the Tullnerfeld railway. A covered waiting area and a ticket machine are on site. The posted timetable and loudspeaker announcements provide information about current connections. In the immediate vicinity of the station is the Park & Ride Nord facility, which offers parking for 38 vehicles and 42 bicycles.
Connections
- Connecting trains of the rapid transit line S40 along the Tullnerfelder Bahn to St. Pölten main station and to Tulln stop here.
- There are bus connections to Herzogenburg and to the St. Pölten main station.
- From the station it is only a 5-minute walk to Traisenpark St. Pölten, the third largest shopping centre in Austria. The choice of over 85 shops leaves nothing to be desired for the shopping heart.
The recreational area at the Viehofner Lakes can be reached just as easily from the St. Pölten Traisenpark train station. The restaurant Seedose offers an original menu as well as a dreamlike scenery directly at the lake.
A few minutes walk away is the Ratzersdorfer Badesee. In addition to the swimming area and children's playground, a mini-golf course and the NXP Lasertron Center offer a variety of leisure activities.
