The Wagram Grafenegg train station in the Weinviertel region of Lower Austria is located in the midst of greenery. In addition to a ticket vending machine and timetable displays, the glazed bunk also offers the opportunity to wait for the next train, protected from the wind and weather.
Space has been created for 65 cars and mopeds in the Park & Ride facility, and more than 60 bicycles are safely stored in the Bike & Ride station.
Route information
- Along the railway line "Absdorf - Hippersdorf - Krems an der Donau" lies the station Wagram Grafenegg. Colloquially, the line is also called "Krems branch", as it is a wing line of the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Bahn.
- Regional express trains to Krems on the Danube and to the Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof in Vienna stop here.
Grafenegg Castle
Enjoy medieval romance - this is possible within the historic walls of Grafenegg Castle, which is well worth seeing. It only takes half an hour to walk from the Wagram Grafenegg train station eastwards across extensive landscapes to the imposing building. In addition to numerous concert events and exhibitions, there is also the opportunity to visit most of the interior rooms. After a visit to the Schlosstaverne, you can take an atmospheric walk in the beautifully landscaped castle park.
