Waidhofen/Ybbs Pestalozzigasse station is located on the southeastern edge of the expressive town of Waidhofen an der Ybbs in Lower Austria's Mostviertel region. A glazed waiting shelter on site provides seating, a digital train destination display and, of course, ample shelter from rain and wind.
Route information
Over a length of 3.1 kilometers, a section of the Ybbstalbahn is served by the Waidhofen/Ybbs Citybahn. The dazzling trains that jet along the narrow-gauge line serve six stops that connect the Waidhofen an der Ybbs train station with the town center.
- Here, the Waidhofen/Ybbs Citybahn trains to Waidhofen an der Ybbs stop every half hour on weekdays and every hour on Sundays and public holidays. The station Waidhofen/Ybbs Pestalozzigasse is the terminus of the Citybahn.

Buchenberg
In about an hour on foot, during a leisurely hike through pleasantly cool forests, the Buchenberg can be explored. The local mountain is easy to reach from the Waidhofen/Ybbs Pestalozzigasse bus stop. In addition to numerous exercise and information stations for young and old, the attached Buchenberg Nature and Adventure Park promises a very special adventure. Numerous archery courses, as well as the animal park with its many native game species, offer a varied and exciting recreational experience. A very special highlight for the little ones is the pet area, where sheep, goats, donkeys and alpacas are happy to be extensively petted.
