Wampersdorf train station

Just outside the cadastral municipality of Wampersdorf is the station Wampersdorf. The two platforms are safely accessible via an underpass and the glazed waiting area promises a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. A ticket machine and publicly accessible sanitary facilities offer a further degree of comfort, as do a number of parking spaces and covered parking areas for mopeds and bicycles.

Within half an hour's walk from Wampersdorf station, visitors will not only have enjoyed the extensive landscapes, they will also have reached a true museum treasure of Lower Austria: Die gläserne Burg. Countless unique pieces and an intensive insight into the craftsmanship of glassblowing promise an entertaining visit to the museum building, which houses the largest glass mosaic in Europe. Those who would like to become even more familiar with the art of glassblowing can try it out for themselves in one of the workshops and courses on offer and learn to create their own personal work of art.
