Lower Austrian gastropub culture (Niederösterreichische Wirtshauskultur) – there are around 200 gastropubs serving down-to-earth dishes from regional specialities with honest hospitality.
For more than 20 years, the auspicious green signs seen on entering towns and villages and at inns around the region have been a sign of genuine Lower Austrian cooking, excellent quality and a refined atmosphere, and are the reason why Lower Austria is regarded as the “Land of connoisseurs”!
