Hohe Mandling
Mountain summit
Description
North of the Piestingtal the Hohe Mandling rises up to 967 meters. The mountain peak belongs to the municipalities of Pernitz and Waldegg and to the district of Baden. The steep climbs and densely wooded routes still attract numerous hikers to the summit - even though it is no longer possible to stop for refreshments: in 2007 the historically significant Berndorfer Hütte, which had stood on the beautiful summit clearing since the 1920s, burned down completely.
