Some of the most beloved gardens treat their visitors to summer specials: From June through August, Garden Summer Lower Austria beckons visitors to take off on eventful journeys of discovery to 60 gardens, hotels, inns and heurige. This is a chance to explore spiritual monastic gardens and impressive castle gardens, delicious kitchen gardens and modern themed gardens while enjoying fresh garden products at select Wirtshauskultur restaurants and TOP heurige. Garden Summer is supplemented by hosts with bon vivant rooms so you can create your own individual feel-good holidays.
Full moon nights
The highlights of the lush green summer in Lower Austria are Garden Summer full moon nights when garden delights are celebrated on a large scale. On July 2 and 31 as well as August 29, visitors are invited to gather outdoors in the midst of the garden oases under romantic moonlight for a very special experience. Activities range from full moon tours to grill parties, from concerts to outdoor movies in a garden setting. There is something for everyone.
Living plants
“Living plants – Moving stories of plants” is a new and exclusive feature of Garden Summer Lower Austria. Artists slip into a variety of costumes on 36 dates to present a vivid story of the essence and special traits of local plants. Let yourself be whisked away into a magical garden world and experience a unique performance combining music, dance and pantomime.
