Description

The wine house in Kirchberg am Wagram, nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Wagram, is an insider tip for connoisseurs. With exceptional cuisine and an excellent wine list, it offers a unique experience.

The bistronomy concept, developed by Lukas Humer, Rafael Reisser and Eric Broz, takes the 50-year-old wine house to a new level. Under the “wine bistro motto”, regional delicacies such as prosciutto from Wagram or cheese from Robert Paget with home-pickled vegetables are on offer.

The wine list features local winemakers such as Bernhard Ott, Franz Leth, Clemens Strobl and Karl Fritsch, as well as well-known names from the neighboring Wachau region.

The modern ambience of the revitalized wine house underlines the ambition to create something new. The chefs prepare reinterpreted classics, organic ingredients from the surrounding area, home-grown herbs and monthly changing menus of 3 to 7 courses, including purely vegetarian options. Seasonal dishes such as Radlberg salmon trout with currant or roasted white asparagus with walnut and pear are just a taste of the refined creations of the house.

Two stylishly furnished guest rooms invite you to linger, while the next morning the homemade breakfast specialties are the perfect end to a culinary excursion in the Wagram region
