Description
Despite all the inclination towards fine dining in top gastronomy, everyone is occasionally overcome by the desire for a good schnitzel, a crispy fried chicken, a juicy Tafelspitz or a delicious Beuschel. At Gasthof Pension St. Wolfgang in Kirchberg am Wechsel, it is precisely these typical inn dishes that set the tone on the menu. Landlady Heidemarie Pirkopf and her team rely on tried and tested regional products. The beef comes from the Feistritz valley, the roe deer and stag from the Molzegg hunting society. Thanks to the high quality of the meat and the clean craftsmanship, guests are served a piece of home. The traditional house in the Viennese Alps in Lower Austria is famous for its roast onion roast with fried potatoes and Fächergurkerl.
Traditional inn for day trippers
The Gasthof Pension St. Wolfgang is located about 500 metres from the centre of Kirchberg am Wechsel. Directly on the Feistritz stream, you will be pampered with red-white-red cuisine in harmony with nature. This is best enjoyed and experienced by locals, hiking guests and families with children on the terrace or in the inn garden, surrounded by old apple trees. A hearty portion of hospitality is always served. The jams, chutneys, various types of syrup and spirits such as nut schnapps and Swiss stone pine liqueur produced in-house are highly recommended. An extensive range of Austrian quality wines can be found in the wine cellar - directly below the rustic inn parlour. Overnight accommodation is also available.
