Habsburghaus

Description

The Habsburghaus is perched at 1,785 metres above sea level on the summit of the Grieskogel in the Rax Mountains. Hikers can enjoy a wonderful view of the Schneealpe, Ötscher and Hochschwab through the panorama windows of the restaurant.

Rest comfortably

After a snack, you can relax in the cosy sitting area by the stove with a book. If you want to experience the most beautiful sunset in the Rax Mountains in the evening, you can stay overnight.

For families and mountain lovers

As one of the excellent huts in the Vienna Alps, the Habsburghaus can be reached with good equipment via family-friendly hiking trails as well as more challenging via ferrata routes. The shortest ascent leads from the mountain station of the Rax cable car to the Grieskogel in two and a half hours.

Hiking and climbing paradise Rax

The Rax is one of the most popular mountains in eastern Austria and delights with its variety of leisure activities. The offer ranges from a leisurely hike on the Rax plateau to a challenging climbing tour on the Preinerwand. The hut hopping is particularly popular, where hikers march from hut to hut.

winter: open winter room without emergency telephone.
