“All things fish” is the motto of Restaurant Heinzle in Weißenkirchen. Chef Gerhard Heinzle has specialised in fish dishes from classic and modern cuisines and enriches his skilfully staged creations with Mediterranean and Far Eastern flavours. Awarded 1 toque by Gault Millau, his cuisine always demonstrates innovative craftsmanship in the way the ingredients are handled.
The fish come from Lower Austria: carp, pike and catfish come from the Waldviertel, zander, trout and char from Traisental. Then there’s meat from Kamptal, game from the Wachau, herbs from our own garden. More pluses at Heinzle: the enchanting garden terrace directly on the Danube with a unique view of the mighty river, the new, invitingly rural, bright and friendly furnished parlour, as well as the large selection of Wachau wines.
