3: With Betty Bernstein across the Danube
Over the river and into the woods: Discover the floodplain landscapes from the gates of Vienna. Betty Bernstein will be your guide.
In the Danube floodplains near Stockerau you can go on new, family-friendly cycle routes with interactive stations. Betty Bernstein, the family mascot of the wine district, will accompany you along the way! On both sides of the Danube, you can discover an area to experience nature on circular routes or on a Danube crossing. On three different routes (3, 6 or 18 km) you can cycle through the floodplains. And all the things worth knowing about the Danube and the meadow lands are conveyed in a playful and interactive manner. The Danube crossing at the Greifenstein power plant is also quite an adventure for children.
The family-friendly cycling trip can either be started at the Stockerau and Greifenstein train stations and the routes are signposted. You can enjoy a meal in Stockerau or in Altenberg.
